Golden Milk


Many of my clients don’t drink or avoid caffeine for many reasons. This alternative hot drink recipe is not only decaffeinated it is great for insomnia, creaky joints and adrenal support through stressful times. So-go on…go on… go on…Enjoy!


2 cups Arrabawn Skim Plus
*Sweetener(see below)
1 teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon ground ginger or a slice fresh ginger
Small cinnamon stick
5-6 black peppercorns
5-6 cardamon seeds
Licorice root, star anise or vanilla seeds are optional…


Put everything in a pot and bring to the boil. Simmer for 5 minutes and strain.

*To sweeten your golden milk you can use manuka honey, pinch of stevia, ½ teaspoon of xylitol,a drop of maple or agave syrup or even marshmallow root. It is always better to try and train your palate to not want added sweeteners. Sugar causes blood sugar spikes which force the adrenal glands, pancreas and liver to work extra hard to control the glucose levels in the blood so less is definitely more. Happy health.
